Charlottesville, Va. – The No. 20 Virginia women’s golf team travels to Greensboro, N.C. this weekend to play in the 19th annual Bryan National Collegiate held on the Champions Course at Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center. The 54-hole tournament is scheduled to run Friday, April 1 through Sunday, April 3.

The tournament is UVa’s final regular season event before the ACC Championships, set for April 15-17.

The 15-team field includes CS Fullerton, East Carolina, Florida State, Kentucky, Miami, Michigan, NC State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, South Carolina, UCF, UNCG and Wake Forest.

Virginia won the 2015 title, claiming the championship trophy after a two-hole playoff with Wake Forest. The two teams finished regulation play tied at 36-over 900. UVA senior Briana Mao captured medalist honors at even par 216.

Virginia’s lineup for this year’s tournament includes senior Lauren Coughlin (Chesapeake, Va.), junior Lauren Diaz-Yi (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), freshman Morgan Gonzales (Chandler, Ariz.), freshman Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.) and senior Elizabeth Szokol (Winnetka, Ill.). Sophomore Maho Hayakawa (Lake Mary, Fla.) will compete as a individual.

Coughin, who is ranked No. 37 in the Golfstat standings, leads Virginia with a 72.52 stroke average this season. She has been UVA’s top finisher in three of its last four tournaments. In her last event, she placed second at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, her fourth top-10 finish this year.

The Cavaliers are paired with Michigan and Cal State Fullerton during the opening round. They will tee off starting at 9:15 a.m. from the first tee.
