Ritschard, Lizen Competing at Sunrise Futures

SUNRISE, Fla. – Redshirt junior Alexander Ritschard (Zurich, Switzerland) and redshirt freshman Aswin Lizen (Douglas, Isle of Man) are competing in a 128-player qualifying tournament, vying for one of eight available spots in the main draw of next week’s $15,000 Sunrise Futures tournament in Sunrise, Fla.

Ritschard downed Felipe Ribeiro Frattini 6-3, 6-3 in his first round match, but fell 5-7, 7-6 (7), 6-2 in the second round.

Lizen advanced to the third round of qualifying, defeating Cesar Antonio Gomez Diaz 6-2, 6-0, and Pedro Ferrari Maciel, 6-0, 6-1, but was eliminated with a 6-1, 6-2 loss to Miomir Kecmanovic.
