CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Five members of the Virginia men’s tennis team were named to the 2017 ITA National Team Indoor Championship All-Tournament Team, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Thursday (Feb. 23). The honors were voted on by a panel of the 16 participating head coaches at the tournament, which was hosted by the University of Virginia February 17-20 at the Boar’s Head Sports Club.

The ITA Indoor champion Cavaliers had four players earn honors in singles as well as two doubles teams. Seniors Thai-Son Kwiatkowski (Charlotte, N.C.) and J.C. Aragone (Yorba Linda, Calif.) as well as junior Alexander Ritschard (Zurich, Switzerland) were recognized for both their play in singles and doubles. Junior Henrik Wiersholm (Kirkland, Wash.) was voted as the top player at No. 6 singles while junior Collin Altamirano (Sacramento, Calif.) was voted to the team at No. 3 doubles.

Ohio State’s Mikael Torpegaard was named the 2017 ITA Division I National Men’s Team Indoor Championship’s Most Outstanding Player.
