Halloween Hoos

Several of the UVA athletics teams got into the holiday spirit yesterday. Both the #UVASoftball and #UVAFH teams came to practice dressed in costume. The field hockey team had a costume contest, letting fans vote on their favorite costumes via Instagram and Facebook. The group who dressed up as the coaching staff were the champions with a waddle of penguins and a pair of wrestlers giving them some stiff competition. CBS19 was out at practice and had this report.

Streaking The Lawn polled several former Cavaliers to find out what their favorite Halloween candies. Among those they asked were Sean Doolittle (Baseball), Matt Johns, George Adeoson, Luke Bowanko and Ahmad Hawkins (football), Michelle Vittese (field hockey), Thai-Son Kwiatkowski (tennis), Sharnee Zoll (women’s basketball), Akil Mitchell (men’s basketball), Paddy Foss (men’s soccer) and Brett Hughes (lacrosse). Sean Doolittle also retweeted this Halloween costume of a young fans dressed as the Nats’ closer.
