Charlottesville, Va. – The No. 25 Virginia women’s golf team is back on the course this weekend when the Cavaliers play in the 36th LSU Tiger Golf Classic at the University Club in Baton Rouge, Friday through Sunday.

LSU will host 12 teams in the par-72 tournament that will play at 6,247 yards. The teams will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on holes one and 10 on Friday and Saturday. Sunday will feature an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The field includes Charlotte, Chattanooga, Houston, NC State, Louisiana-Monroe, Mercer, Princeton, SMU, Southern Mississippi and Texas San Antonio.

Virginia’s lineup features juniors Morgan Gonzales (Chandler, Ariz.), Katharine Patrick (Houston, Texas) and Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.), sophomore Julia Ford (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and freshman Beth Lillie (Fullerton, Calif.). Senior Maho Hayakawa (Lake Mary, Fla.) will compete as an individual.

The Cavaliers will be paired with LSU and SMU during Friday’s opening round.

Redding, who has led UVA in scoring in five of six tournaments this season, tops the Cavalier lineup with a 71.29 stroke average. She placed 15th at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in UVA’s last outing. She is ranked No. 33 in the latest Golfstat standings.
