More Than Lacrosse

After each practice @UVAMensLax coach Lars Tiffany asks a different player to address the team, to share an inspirational message, a quotation or passage from a book they’ve read. Mike Barber (@RTD_MikeBarber) from the Richmond Times-Dispatch dives into how senior defensive captain Scott Hooper bought the team the book, “Gates of Fire,” a 1998 work of historical fiction based on the Battle of Thermopylae and the messages he wanted to share with the team.
