Hoos Got (EVEN MORE) Trophies
This is now our favorite weekly feature. For the third Monday in a row, we get to blog about a former Cavalier hoisting some hardware. Congratulations this week to former #UVAMTEN player Alexander Ritschard, who won the first professional title of his career this weekend. Ritschard, who graduated from UVA in December, won the singles title at the Karlskrona Futures Tournament in Sweden. One of the former champions of that tournament is current sophomore Carl Söderlund, who won the title there in 2016.
Loos Hoos Back!
Welcome back to the big leagues, Mark Reynolds!!! Reynolds was called up from Triple-A Syracuse after the former Rockie signed a minor league deal with the Nationals last month. Reynolds was replacing Ryan Zimmerman, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list. Here is a nice piece from the Washington Post about Reynolds return to MLB.
