Orlando, Fla. – Virginia golfer Haeley Wotnosky (Wake Forest, N.C.) was the runner-up at the 2021 Women’s Orlando International Amateur that ended Tuesday at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Orlando, Fla. Wotnosky shot 4-under 212 over three days and placed one shot behind medalist Latanna Stone in the 108-player field. Both Wotnosky and Stone, who competes at LSU, shot 1-over 73 for the second consecutive day to close out the tournament.

Stone and Wotnosky were even after the opening nine holes on Tuesday before Stone collected a birdie on the 10th hole which proved to be the winning margin.

Wotnosky opened play Sunday with a score of 6-under 66 while Stone shot 65 during the opening round. They maintained the top two positions on the leaderboard throughout the event.

UVA’s Celeste Valinho (Jacksonville, Fla.) tied for 22nd overall at 5-over 221.
