The No. 7 Virginia men’s tennis team (4-0) hosts No. 14 Wake Forest (3-1) today at 3 p.m. at the Boar’s Head Sports Club

Due to health and safety considerations, in addition to the current guidelines for sports venues set by the Commonwealth of Virginia, attendance for UVA home men’s and women’s indoor tennis competitions will be limited to the family of student-athletes and coaching staff until further notice

No. 14 Wake Forest (3-1)

  • Virginia moved up one spot in this week’s ITA team rankings to No. 7 after beginning the season ranked No. 22
  • Senior Gianni Ross (Chicago, Ill.) and freshman Iñaki Montes (Pamplona, Spain) are both 3-0 in singles this season with freshman Jeffrey von der Schulenburg (Zurich, Switzerland) leading the team with a 4-0 record
  • After having its first four matches postponed, the Demon Deacons opened the season with a 4-0 loss to unranked Oklahoma at ITA Kickoff Weekend. They have won their three matches since including a 4-3 win against South Carolina and a 7-0 win over Davidson last Sunday in a doubleheader

  • Wake Forest head coach Tony Bresky was the associate head coach at Virginia from 2002-10
  • Virginia leads the all-time series 62-25. Wake Forest won last year’s non-conference meeting 5-2 in Winston-Salem
