CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –  The Virginia women’s tennis team opens the fall portion of its schedule by hosting the Wahoowa Invitational tournament Friday through Sunday (Sept. 17-19) at the Boar’s Head Sports Club in Charlottesville, Va.

Virginia opened the tournament, and fall individual season, with three singles victories and three doubles wins.

Freshmen Melodie Collard and Elaine Chervinsky both opened their collegiate careers with singles wins. They also partnered for a 6-2 victory over a team from Auburn in doubles.
