CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 10 Virginia women’s lacrosse team (2-1) hosts its second game in three days as it welcomes No. 16 Princeton (0-0) on Sunday for a noon game at Klöckner Stadium.

Fans can purchase single-game tickets in advance online at UVATix.com for $5. UVA athletics strongly encourages fans to avoid lines on game day and purchase their tickets online in advance, there are no fees when buying online. Single game tickets will be $10 at the window on game day. Group packages for parties of 20 or more are just $4 per ticket and are available online or over the phone in advance only.

AGAINST PRINCETON

  • Virginia and Princeton are meeting for the 40th time in the series that dates back to 1981.
  • UVA has a 21-18 advantage in the all-time series and is 15-6 in games played in Charlottesville.
  • The last meeting between the two teams was Feb. 22, 2020, with UVA winning 12-10 at Princeton.
  • The Tigers did not play in 2021.
  • Virginia won the most recent game in Charlottesville, 14-9, on Feb. 23, 2019.

LAST TIME OUT

  • Virginia is coming off a tough loss on Friday to No. 10 Maryland.
  • The Cavaliers had a 5-0 and 4-0 run in the game and held the Terrapins scoreless in the second quarter, but Maryland outscored UVA 8-0 in the third quarter to win 17-13.
  • Freshman Rachel Clark and senior Ashlyn McGovern each had four goals.
  • Junior goalkeeper Ashley Vernon had 12 saves.
  • It was the second time this season UVA has held an opponent scoreless in a quarter.

HOOS ATTACKING

  • Clark and McGovern have scored hat tricks in two of UVA’s three games.
  • Junior Jaime Biskup had two goals against Maryland and scored a career-high six in the win over Cal.
