No. 8 Virginia Travels to Florida State and Miami

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –  The No. 8 Virginia men’s tennis team (15-5, 8-0 ACC) plays at Florida State (13-7, 9-3 ACC) on Friday, April 8 at 5:30 p.m. and at Miami (14-6, 3-5 ACC) on Sunday, April 10 at 1 p.m.

NOTING THE CAVALIERS

• Virginia brings a 10-match win streak into the weekend
• UVA remained at No. 8 in this week’s ITA rankings
• Jeffrey von der Schulenburg was named the ACC Player of the Week after picking up a win against No. 9 Gabriel Diallo of Kentucky
• Virginia has won five ACC Player of the Week honors and three doubles teams of the week with six different Cavaliers being recognized in one or both of those conference honors (Chris Rodesch, Iñaki Montes, Jeffrey von der Schulenburg, Ryan Goetz, William Woodall, Gianni Ross)
• Von der Schulenburg has won his last 10 completed singles matches and is 15-1 in duals this season. He is No. 28 in the ITA singles rankings

• Chris Rodesch is 19-7 in singles this season and has won his last five matches. He is No. 19 in the ITA Singles rankings

• The Seminoles are coming off a 4-1 win at Boston College last Saturday
• Loris Pourroy is the lone ranked Seminole at No. 55 with a 12-2 record at the No. 1 court
• Virginia leads the all-time series 30-11 and has won the last two meetings
• Miami moved up eight spots in this week’s ITA Team rankings to No. 28 after topping then-No. 30 Florida State 4-0 in a midweek match
