ATHENS, Ga. – Three Virginia divers advanced to the finals to close out the three-day meet at the UGA Bulldog Invitational at Gabrielsen Natatorium.

UVA seniors Charlotte Bowen and Jennifer Bell along with sophomore Lizzy Kaye, each made the finals on the women’s 1-meter. Bell advanced to the finals in all three diving events, Kaye advanced to finals on the 1 and 3-meter springboard.

Kaye was leading for much of the round, and it all came down to the final diver as South Carolina’s Brooke Schultz just edged Kaye for first. Kaye finished with the second-best score in UVA history, posting a 311.85 to place second.

Bell closed out her strong week with a fifth-place finish and the eight-best score in school history of 286.70 on the 1-meter. Bowen finished 11th with a score of 263.10 in the finals. Junior Amanda Leizman was 28th we a season-best 222.70 and junior Maddy Grosz finished 39th (193.85).

The men closed out the meet on the platform. Sophomore Nicholas Sanders was the top finisher for UVA, placing 17th with a score of 243.65. Junior Oliver Mills finished 19th with a 233.30 and senior Joseph Perreault was 20th with a season-best score of 224.70.
