CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –  Members of the Virginia men’s tennis team are competing at the lone home tournament of the fall, the Orange & Blue Classic being held Friday through Sunday, Sept. 22-24, at the Boar’s Head Sports Club.

The Cavaliers picked up four singles victories and a doubles win on Saturday (Sept. 23) in the second day of tournament action.

Mans Dahlberg, Alexander Kiefer, James Hopper and Douglas Yaffa all won their singles matches against players from Penn on Saturday. Chris Rodesch and Edoardo Graziani, who was Penn’s No. 1 singles player last season, notched a doubles victory. Freshman Jack Griffin made his collegiate debut, playing a singles match against Penn’s Sameer Gangoli.

The tournament wraps up on Sunday. The Cavaliers scheduled to compete in the wave of matches at 2 p.m. with other matches preceding theirs at 10 a.m.

The matches, which are free and open to the public, are scheduled to be played at the outdoor courts of the Virginia Tennis Facility, but will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather. Please monitor the Virginia men’s tennis social media accounts for updates.

Live video streams will be available for matches played outdoors.

Players from  Vanderbilt, Penn, Virginia Tech and Virginia are competing as individuals in the tournament in singles and doubles matches.
