SUMMER 2023: Pitched in four games, including three starts for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod League … pitched alongside UVA teammate Bradley Hodges in Hyannis … Logged a total of 12.1 innings and struck out 11 batters … best outing came in a start against Brewster on July 8 where he did not surrender an earned run over 3.1 innings while striking out five.

2023
• Garnered Freshman All-America honors from Perfect Game (First Team) and Baseball America (Second Team).
• One of 12 Cavaliers on ACC Academic Team and included on the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
• Made 19 appearances, including 11 starts as a true freshman.
• Pitched on the weekend for the first 11 weeks of the season before transitioning to the bullpen for UVA’s stretch run.
• In his collegiate debut, earned the win, allowed one hit over five scoreless innings and struck out seven in a start against UNCW, the eventual Colonial Athletic Association league champion and NCAA Tournament qualifier.
• Did not allow a run in his first 11 innings of his collegiate career.
• Recorded ACC wins over Florida State (3/26), Miami (4/9) and Pitt (4/16).
• Turned in three quality starts, including two in ACC play (vs. Miami – 6.1 IP, 3 ER & vs. Pitt – 6.0 IP, 1 ER).
• Pitched 6.1 innings and struck out nine, both season highs, in a 6-3 win over Miami on April 9 to complete the series sweep.
• Worked into the sixth inning, allowed two runs and fanned eight batters at then-No. 23 NC State on March 18. The Wolfpack were ranked in the top-15 in the country in scoring and batting average and led the country in doubles going into the weekend.
• Pitched three innings of scoreless relief and struck out five in an 8-0 shutout of Radford on May 10.
•  Over his last eight relief appearances, allowed three runs over 12.1 innings pitched (2.19 ERA).
