Justin Weiss

Justin Weiss joined the Virginia baseball staff as a scouting and operations assistant in the fall of 2023 before being elevated to director of baseball operations in 2024.

During his first year on staff, Weiss helped the Cavaliers to their seventh College World Series appearance since 2009 and the program’s 21st NCAA Tournament appearance overall.

Weiss started coaching at Locked In Baseball in Morris Knolls, N.J., where he focused on using data and analytics to help elevate high school players.

As a student-athlete, Weiss played collegiately at Lafayette College. A catcher by trade, Weiss was .360 career hitter for the Leopards while being named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll twice.

The Summit, N.J. native graduated from Lafayette with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and law with a minor in history.
