Alcohol

No alcohol will be sold at Klockner Stadium.

Alcoholic beverages or containers of any kind are not permitted to enter athletics facilities. Intoxicated guests
or persons identified with alcohol brought from outside the venue will be subject to removal from the facility.

Banners, Signs and Flags

Banners, signs, and flags are allowed in athletics facilities provided they do not impede another guest’s view of the competition, cover any facility signage, and/or are not attached to the facility. Banners, signs, and flags on poles or sticks are prohibited. Athletics Event Management reserves the right to remove any banner, sign, or flag that is in violation of the policy.

Cameras

Cameras with lenses less than six inches are allowed, however flash photography and stands/tripods are
prohibited.

Code of Conduct

University of Virginia athletics events should be an enjoyable experience for all guests. To help us reach this
goal for fans, staff, and student-athletes, we ask for your assistance in displaying a high degree of sportsmanship at all times.

Concessions

The Concessions Stands are located on the main concourse, on the backside of Klockner Stadium. Drinks and
snacks are also available for purchase from vendors. For select events, food trucks may be on site.

Field/Court Access Prohibited

In accordance with Atlantic Coast Conference and University of Virginia policies, guests are prohibited from
coming onto the field or court at any time. Only participants, coaches, officials, and authorized personnel shall be allowed in the competition area before, during, and at the conclusion of the competition. This policy is for the safety of our guests, the officials, student-athletes, and coaches.

First Aid

Limited first aid supplies are available. Please see an RMC member for assistance. For select games, medical
personnel will be on site.

 

Lost and Found

Lost and found at all other events will be found at the main ticket entrance.

Lost and found items will be held at the above locations until the facility closes for each event. Following each
event, items will be taken to the Facilities & Operations Office located at 2033 Ivy Road. Contact telephone number is 434-982-5022. Contact email address is UVaAthleticsLostandFound@virginia.edu.

Programs

Programs and scorecards are available throughout the concourse at distribution stations.

Prohibited Items
  • Artificial noisemakers – For men’s and women’s soccer matches only, select artificial noisemakers are
    allowed; however air horns, whistles, bullhorns or devices that amplify electric sound, including battery-operated devices, are prohibited.
  • Balls, Frisbees, lacrosse sticks, and similar items
  • Containers (including plastic or glass bottles, cups, cans, coolers, or flasks)
  • Outside Food and Beverages
  • Strollers (except umbrella strollers) – prohibited at Scott Stadium & John Paul Jones Arena only
  • Umbrellas – prohibited at Scott Stadium only
  • Weapons of any kind, including those carried with a permit, as defined in SEC-030: Regulations of
    Weapons, Fireworks and Explosives
  • Folding Chairs – prohibited at Scott Stadium & John Paul Jones Arena only
  • Drones or unmanned aircraft systems
  • Animals (with the exception of trained service animals on leashes for our guests with disabilities)

*The University of Virginia reserves the right to prohibit any item deemed hazardous or disruptive to the athletics event or the enjoyment of the event by other guests.

All guests are subject to inspection and search for prohibited items.  Event staff reserves the right to examine
the contents of bags, jackets, pockets, or any other personal item before admitting guests to the facility.  In
order to expedite entrance into the facility, it is recommended that guests not bring bags to events and arrive
early at the facility gates.

Smoking

The University of Virginia prohibits smoking and vaping in all of its facilities on University property, including athletics facilities. There are designated smoking areas outside Scott Stadium’s southwest and east gates. An outdoor smoking area is available near sections 301 and 315 of John Paul Jones Arena.

Solicitation & Distribution

Direct advertising, sales, and solicitation by outside vendors are not permitted on Grounds. Any distribution of materials on public property shall not disrupt University business, generate security issues, or block sidewalks or roads.

Throwing Objects

For safety reasons, throwing objects in any athletics facility is prohibited. Violators are subject to removal from the facility.

 

Umbrellas

Umbrellas may be brought into the stadium but may not be opened in the seating areas, so as to block the
view of others.

Entry & Gate Information

General Information

The entrance to Klockner Stadium is located on Copeley Rd, between Palmer Park and Lannigan Field.

  • All tickets are mobile! Fans should ensure that their tickets are downloaded to their wallet prior
    to their arrival on game day. Please visit here for assistance with downloading to your specific
    device.
  • Walk-through metal detectors are the primary means of screening. For guests who are unable to
    utilize a walk-through metal detector, hand-held metal detectors will be used.
  • Children under the age of 2 do not need a ticket if sitting on an adult’s lap. All other patrons must
    have a ticket for entry into all ticketed Virginia Athletics events.

All guests, including but not limited to ticketed patrons, UVA students, game day staff, student-athletes,
coaches and support staff, are subject to inspection and search for prohibited items.

Event staff will examine the contents of clear bags, jackets, pockets or any other personal item before
admitting guests to the facility. In order to expedite entrance into the facility, it is recommended that all
guests refrain from bringing bags to events and arrive early at the facility gates. Gates open 90 minutes prior
to the start of home football games at Scott Stadium and 60 minutes before home men’s and
women’s basketball games at John Paul Jones Arena and all events at Disharoon Park, Klöckner Stadium and
Palmer Park.

Screening

Screening procedures will be in use at all entry gates. Walk-through and hand wand metal detectors will be
the primary means of screening. For guests who are unable to utilize a walk-through metal detector for
medical reasons, hand-held metal detectors will be used. Any person who does not consent to screening will
be denied entry into the stadium.

Clear Bag Policy

The policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the venue. One bag per person is allowed,
but the bag must meet the following parameters:

  • Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and may not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″. Clear one-gallon plastic
    freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar) are also permitted.
  • Small clutch bags/wallets, no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ (with or without a handle or strap) can be taken
    into the facility and will be subject to search.
  • An exception will be made for items necessary for medical reasons after proper inspections at a gate
    designated for this purpose.
  • Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to: diaper bags, purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers,
    briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or
    any bag larger than the permissible size.

Seat cushions and seat backs are permitted as long as they are not in a carrying bag.
Folding chairs are permitted at Disharoon Park, Klöckner Stadium and Palmer Park as long as they are not in a carrying bag.

Cashless

Debit or credit cards are only the acceptable methods of payment for ticket purchases at the box office. Cash will not be accepted.

Accessibility Accommodations

The University of Virginia provides accommodations for guests with disabilities at all athletics facilities.
Accessible seating at Klöckner Stadium is available in the grandstand in all available sections (General
Admission).

Individuals may purchase General Admission season tickets, mini-package and single game tickets and go to
the grandstand each game for accessible seat locations on a first come, first serve basis.
No exchanges need to be made for tickets already held.

Once a game becomes sold out no tickets are available for purchase or exchange in accessible seating
locations.

Parking

General Information

Free parking is available in the JPJ South Lot during UVA soccer matches, except on basketball gamedays.
Overflow parking is available in the UVA Emmet/Ivy Garage.

Tailgating

Tailgating may not take up multiple parking spaces or block the driving lanes. No glass bottles are permitted.

The University of Virginia strives to protect life and property by reducing the risks posed to University
buildings, property and occupants from the use and operation of an open burn and open flame. By this policy, charcoal grills are prohibited in parking lots. Propane grills are only allowed in open-air parking lots if the propane tank is less than five pounds. Open flames other than grills are prohibited.

Accessibility & ADA

Accessibility Accommodations

The University of Virginia provides accommodations for guests with disabilities at all athletics facilities.
Accessible seating is defined as wheelchair spaces and companion seats of the Department of Justice
guidelines pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act. A public entity may investigate the potential misuse of accessible seating where there is good cause to believe that such seating has been purchased fraudulently.

Individuals who receive a ticket from a source other than the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office and need an accessible seat should contact the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office to inquire about an exchange on a single game basis of one ticket for an accessible seat and one companion, if available. Once a game becomes sold out, no tickets are available for purchase or exchange in accessible seating locations.

Purchasing Tickets in Advance

Call or text (434) 924-UVA1 from 9 am until 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Patrons can email their name, phone number, interested sport, interested game or ticket option and
accessible seating need to uvatickets@virginia.edu. A Virginia Athletics Ticket Office representative will
respond regarding your ticket order and seating request.

Stop by the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office on the 2nd floor of Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium from 9 am until 5
p.m. weekdays.

Parking

ADA parking can be found in the main JPJ West Parking Lot.
