STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Julie Williams, the head coach at Penn State andthe chair of the IWLCA All-American Committee for Division I, has announcedthe 1999 All-American team.
1999 NCAA Champion Maryland places four athletes on the first teamto lead all squads, and national runner-up Virginia claims two slots. NCAASemifinalist Penn State boasts three first-team members, and Ivy LeaguersDartmouth and Princeton both claim two athletes each. Members from the 1998first team who repeat that honor include Brooke Crawford from NorthCarolina, Melissa Frazier and Jacque Weitzel from Dartmouth, Megan Rileyfrom James Madison, and Cristi Samaras from Princeton.
