CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia’s athletic ticket office reopens Wednesday morning (August 19) in UVa’s Aquatic and Fitness Center. The Virginia Student Aid Foundation (VSAF) office has also relocated to the Aquatic and Fitness Center. The Aquatic and Fitness Center is located at the corner of Whitehead and Alderman Roads in the Carl Smith Center complex near Scott Stadium. Both offices will remain in that location until further notice.

The regular office space for the athletic ticket operation and the VSAF is in University Hall. UVa officials closed that building last Wednesday (August 12) as a precautionary measure after a structural inspection found that a number of the wires incorporated into the structure that supports the domed roof were broken.

“We know many of our fans are concerned about their football season tickets,” said Dick Mathias, UVa’s assistant director of athletics for ticket office management. “The football season tickets will be mailed later this week.”

Parking passes for qualified VSAF donors will also be mailed later this week.

Virginia sold out of football season tickets last month for the third consecutive year. The season ticket sale means no single game ticket orders for UVa’s home games with Clemson, North Carolina State and North Carolina are being accepted.

“Our season ticket sale along with our commitment to Clemson, North Carolina State and North Carolina has exhausted the supply of tickets for those games,” Mathias said.

Tickets for Virginia’s home games with Maryland (Sept. 12) and San Jose State (Oct. 3) are on sale for $22 each. Tickets for the Cavaliers’ six away games are also on sale. The relocated ticket office is open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. A limited amount of free parking is available adjacent to the Aquatic and Fitness Center off of Alderman Road. Tickets can also be ordered by calling (804) 982-8821 or 1-800-542-8821.
