ATHENS, Ga. – University of Virginia tennis players Brian Vahaly and HuntleyMontgomery were eliminated at the NCAA Division I Men’s TennisChampionships today.

Vahaly, competing in both the singles and doubles portions of the nationalchampionships, lost a second round singles match to Peter Handoyo ofTennessee 6-3, 6-3. Vahaly, who tied the school record for wins in a seasonin yesterday’s first round, finishes the season with a 29-9 record.

Vahaly and Montgomery were eliminated in the doubles draw this afternoon.They fell to UCLA’s tandem of Jason Cook and Brandon Kramer in straightsets 6-4, 6-4. The Cavaliers ended their season with a 15-10 record, whilethe seventh-ranked Bruin duo raised its record to 30-11.
