Hucles Earns Soccer America Honors

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia junior Angela Hucles (Virginia Beach, VA/Norfolk Academy), was named to Soccer America’s Team of the Week for October 27, 1998.

Hucles became Virginia’s all-time scoring leader as she scored a golden goal against ACC-rival Wake Forest on October 23. Hucles’ goal six minutes into overtime gave the Cavaliers the 1-0 victory and moved the Virginia captain to 104 career points on 46 career goals and 12 career assists, passing former Cavalier All-American Andrea Rubio (102p, 1989-92).

This week’s selection was Hucles’ second honor to this team in 1998.
