Men's Swimmer Pietucha Finishes Fifth at Commonwealth Games

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA–University of Virginia swimmer Shamek Pietucha finished fifth in the 200-meter butterfly at the Commonwealth Games on Wednesday (Sept. 16). He finished the event with a time of 2:00.67. James Hickman of England won the event with a time of 1:57.11.
Pietucha, from Edmonton, Alberta, represented Canada in the competition. He finished seventh in the 100-meter butterfly (54.48 seconds) in earlier competition at the Commonwealth Games.
Pietucha earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference and first-team All-America honors at Virginia last season.
