TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The University of Virginia softball team continued play on it spring break trip by facing the Iowa State Cyclones at Florida State University. UVa, coming off a 4-2 outing in the 1999 Tallahassee Democrat FSU Invitational softball tournament, looked to improve it’s 12-11 overall record against ISU.

The Cavaliers played two competitive games with the Cyclones, but were unable to come up with a win in either contest as Iowa State sweep the double-header with the Cavaliers. ISU won the first game by the score of 6-4, and outlasted UVa 2-1 in eight innings in the second game to claim the double-header.

With the losses, Virginia’s record falls to 12-13 overall. UVa has now lost three consecutive games.
