CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia volleyball player Jessica Parsons (Green Oaks, Ill./Libertyville) was named the ACC Player of the Week. She shared the honor with Tori Seibert of North Carolina.

Parsons, a third-year middle hitter for UVa, paced Virginia to a 3-0 record last week, defeating Duke (3-0), Florida State (3-2) and Wake Forest (3-2). She recorded 61 kills, 30 digs and 13 blocks in the three victories. Parsons averaged 4.69 kills per game, 2.31 digs per game and had a hitting percentage of .362. With her performances, Parsons helped the Cavaliers gather the number two seed in the ACC Volleyball Championship. She joins teammates Claire Folga the second player from UVa to earn the conference honor this season.

Libby Alberts of Maryland was named the ACC Rookie of the Week.
