CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The second seeded University of Virginia women’s soccer team will face the seventh seeded Florida State Seminoles in the first round of the ACC Tournament on Thursday, November 5 at 3:00. The Cavaliers’ five wins this season is the most ACC wins in a season for Virginia.

Earlier this season, Virginia defeated Florida State 4-3 in overtime. Virginia, who is ranked #13 in the nation by the NSCAA poll, has never lost to the Seminoles, holding a 4-0 advantage in the series, including a 15-5 edge in goals scored. In other first round action, #1 North Carolina will take on #8 Duke and #3 Clemson will face #6 N.C. State. The last game of theround pits #4 Wake Forest against #5 Maryland.

If Virgnia advances to the semifinals, they will play on Friday, November 6 at 5:30 against the winner of the Clemson and N.C. State match. The other semifinal will follow that game at 8:00. The championship game is on Sunday, November 3 and will be aired live on Home Team Sports at 1:00.
