RALEIGH, N.C. – The University of Virginia’s women’s swimming anddiving team made it a perfect six-for-six here Saturday with a 150-95victory over North Carolina State in Atlantic Coast Conference swimming anddiving competition. The men’s team was edged by just three points, 123-120.

The women are now 6-0 on the season and 4-0 in ACC competition,while the men fall to 4-3 and 2-2.

This was the closest men’s meet of the season in a win or a loss.UVa lead on the men’s side 114-112 heading into the final event – the200-yard freestyle relay. While the Cavs took second and third for sixpoints, the Wolfpack finished first for 11 points and the victory.

On the women’s side, the Cavaliers took first in nine of 13 events,including a sweep of the top three spots in the 50-yard freestyle, the100-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle.

Both teams will be in action again next weekend as the Cavaliershost their final meet of the season. UVa and North Carolina will do battleat the Aquatic and Fitness Center at 1 p.m.
