CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.–The Virginia Cavaliers are 24th in the 1999 ESPN/USA Today Preseason Poll. Florida State, who the Cavs battle on October 30 in Charlottesville, opens the season as the number one ranked team. The only other ACC team that made the preseason poll was Georgia Tech, at number 11. The Yellow Jackets visit Charlottesville the weekend after the Seminoles on November 6. Virginia opens the season on September 4 at North Carolina.
