CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The University of Virginia women’s rowing team won all four competitions on Sunday (Nov. 14) at the Rivanna Romp Regatta held at the Rivanna Reservoir.

The Virginia “A” boat won the varsity eight competition with a time of 14:01.1 followed by Ohio State “A” (14:10.6), Miami (Fla.) “A” (14:25.5), Virginia “C” (14:25.9) and North Carolina “A” (14:30.0). The Virginia “B” boat finished sixth (14:30.6) followed by Virginia “D” (14:47.8), Clemson “B” (14:47.9), Ohio State “B” (14:48.5), Duke (14:52.8) and Clemson “A” (14:55.5).

The Virginia “A” boat won the novice eight competition with a time of 14:49.0 followed by Virginia “B” (15:21.0), Clemson “A” (15:53.5), North Carolina (16:21.4) and Virginia “C” (16:28.0). The Virginia “D” boat finished sixth (16:34.9) followed by Ohio State “B” (16:35.4), Ohio State “A” (16:41.3) and Clemson “B” (16:56.9).

In the varsity four competition, the Virginia “B” boat finished first with a time of 15:05.0 followed by Virginia “A” (15:05.7), Ohio State “A” (15:16.3), Virginia “C” (15:30.4) and Miami “A” (15:30.7). The Ohio State “B” boat finished sixth (15:34.1) followed by Clemson “B” (15:41.7), Clemson “A” (15:48.4), Ohio State “C” (15:54.4), Duke “B” (15:59.0), Georgetown “A” (16:00.0), Duke “A” (16:14.5), Miami “B” (16:20.5), Ohio State “D” (16:29.0), North Carolina “A” (16:33.9), North Carolina “B” (16:37.8) and Georgetown “B” (16:55.4).

The Virginia “A” boat won the pairs competition with a time of 16:24.1 followed by North Carolina “A” (16:31.3), Ohio State (16:31.4), Virginia “B” (17:01.8) and North Carolina “B” (17:07.7). The North Carolina “C” boat finished sixth (18:13.6) and the North Carolina “D” boat was seventh (19:45.2).

The Rivanna Romp was the final competition of the fall season for the UVa women’s rowing team.
