USFHA Names National U-19 Field Hockey Squad Team of the Year

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia field hockey team members Lorraine Vizzuso (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex), Carrie Goodloe (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs), Jessica Coleman (Oceanport, N.J./Shore Regional) and Becky Worthington (Fairview Village, Pa./Methacton) were all honored today as the United States Field Hockey Association named the National Under-19 team as the Team of the Year.

The four Virginia athletes are all members of the team that won the 1998 California Cup and earned a runner-up finish in the 1998 Montreal Cup, a major international tournament for elite clubs, regional/state, and national teams. The U-19’s defeated Ndestruck, the medalists, in regulation play. One of the U-19 assistants, John Kovach, is an assistant coach with the Virginia program.
