Virginia Remains In Top 10 Of Latest Swimming And Diving Poll

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia women’s swimming anddiving team held onto its number eight ranking in the College SwimmingCoaches Association of America (CSCAA) Top 25 Poll released on January 6.The women are ranked a program-best eighth for the second poll in a row.The men’s team fell two places to 10th in their CSCAA poll after beingranked a program-best eighth in the December 9 poll.
The Virginia women are currently 3-0 in the 1999-2000 season and have won15-consecutive dual meeting dating back to the 1997-98 season. TheCavalier men are 2-1 this season.
The Virginia diving teams are competing in the Georgia DivingInvitational January 7-9, while the men’s and women’s swimming and divingteams return to action on January 15, when they host North Carolina Stateat 1:00 p.m. in UVa’s Aquatic and Fitness Center.
