Georgia Tech and Virginia share this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Player and Rookie of the Week Honors. Yellow Jacket Eida Mabry and Cavalier Deanna Zwarich share player of the week honors while Kele Eveland of Georgia Tech and Paige Davis of Virginia share rookie of the week accolades.

On the week, Mabry posted 5.33 kills, 2.22 digs and a .415 hitting percentage against Wake Forest and Duke. Zwarich also recorded big numbers with 6.25 kills, 1.83 digs, 1.08 blocks and a .363 hitting percentage in matches against North Carolina, NC State and Virginia Tech.

Mabry, a right-side hitter, had her best match against Wake Forest with 30 kills, 14 digs, three service aces, six blocks and a .393 hitting percentage in the four game match.

Zwarich, a senior middle hitter, tallied her best match against the Hokies with 35 kills, seven digs, four blocks and a .566 hitting percentage in four games.

The ACC Rookie of the Week honor is captured by Yellow Jacket Kele Eveland who led the Jackets from the setter position recording 15.00 assists per game as well as adding 2.00 digs per game. The freshman who hails from Grand Rapids, Michigan tallied 84 assists against Wake Forest in four games.

Cavalier rookie Paige Davis also earns rookie of the week honors after knocking down 3.83 kills, 4.08 digs and a .276 hitting percentage. In the outside hitter position Davis had her top match of the week against Virginia Tech with 21 kills, 13 digs and a .457 hitting percentage.
