Alyssa Benitez Selected to Soccer America Team of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia second-year women’s soccer player Alyssa Benitez (Lake Mary, Fl./ Lake Mary) was named to the Soccer America Team of the Week for the week of October 16-22. This is the first time she has been named to the Team of the Week.

Benitez scored two goals, including the game winner, in the #16 Cavaliers’ 4-3 victory over Duke, which was the 11th-ranked team in the nation at the time. Benitez now has four goals and one assist this season, and five goals and two assists in her Virginia career.
