Princeton, N.J. – The University of Virginia women’s rowing team won two competitions Sunday (Oct. 29) at the Princeton Chase.

Virginia won the women’s four competition by one second over Rutgers. UVa’s “B” and “C” boats tied for sixth, and the Cavaliers’ “D” boat finished 16th out of 33 entries.

Virginia also won the women’s pair competition. There were five entries in that competition.

In the women’s eight, UVa finished tied for fifth with Cornell and Harvard. Princeton finished first followed by Yale, Boston University and Michigan State. Virginia’s “B” boat tied for eighth and the Cavaliers’ “C” boat was 14th out of 37 entries.

Virginia also finished second out of four entries in the singles competition.

UVa competes against the Georgetown novices on Saturday (Nov. 4) at the Rivanna Reservoir.
