The Cavaliers’ Carrie Goodloe (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs) got a treat today as she was named the ACC Player of the Week for her efforts over the weekend. Goodloe buried a pass from Jessica Coleman (Oceanport, N.J./Shore Regional) into the boards on a penalty corner in overtime against Duke, sending the Hoos to the win. The next day she set the ball for Coleman’s game-winner against Yale on a corner as the Cavaliers went 2-0 on the week.

Goodloe has 13 assists on the season and 37 for her career, which ranks fourth all-time in Virginia history. Her six game-winning assists this season ties the Virginia record for most GWA in a season and her career total of 9 ranks third all-time.

Goodloe and the rest of the Cavaliers will face Duke on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 2:30 pm in the first round of the ACC tournament, held at the University of Maryland.
