Virginia`s P.J. Bory Named ACC Wrestler of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia wrestler P.J. Bory (Suffern, Va./Suffern) was named the Atlantic Coact Conference Wrestler of the Week after finishing 3-0 at the Virginia Intercollegiate State Wrestling Championships.

Bory, a senior wrestling at 149 lbs., posted an 11-2 major decision victory over Chad Scheidegger of George Mason before defeating Aaron Bradley of Longwood 5-0 and Adam Britt of VMI 6-2 in the 149 lbs. championship. With his three victories, Bory was named the “Outstanding Wrestler” of the tournament and helped the Cavaliers finish in first place out of the seven team field.

For the season, Bory stands at 13-7 overall, 5-2 in dual match action. He has earned five of his 13 victories by major decision and has recorded one fall this year. For his career, Bory is 57-33 overall, 15-8 in dual matches with 12 career falls.
