UVa Women's Soccer Receives Another Commitment to 2001 Incoming Class

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia women’s soccer coach Steve Swanson has received another commitment to the incoming class of 2005. Gillian Hatch, who hails from Whitefish Bay, Wis., will join the Cavaliers for the 2001-2002 academic and athletic year.
Hatch played her first two seasons of high school soccer at Whitefish Bay High School before transferring to the Bollettieri Soccer Academy for her junior year. Prior to her transfer, Hatch was the 1998-99 Wisconsin Gatorade High School Player of the Year as a sophomore. She was a member of the Parade All-America Team as a junior and has spent time with both the Under-16 and Under-18 United States National Teams. Hatch currently plays for the FC Milwaukee Club Team in Wisconsin.
Hatch joins five additional recruits who signed national letters of intent during the spring signing period. Those recruits are Katie Bunch from St. Louis, Mo., Jamie Fabrizio from Carmel, Ind., Lindsay Gusick from Livonia, Mich., Jessica Trainor from Sparta, N.J. and Taylor Wood from San Ramon, Calif.
