Randy Bungard named ACC Men's Track & Field Coach of the Year

Outdoor track and field coach Randy Bungard was named ACC coach of theyear. Bungard is the first Virginia track and field coach to garner thishonor since 1984.

Under his direction, the Cavaliers improved from aneighth place finish in the ACC last year to a third place finish in the ACCthis year. The Cavaliers third place finish in the ACC is the team’shighest finish since 1984.

This season, Bungard coached eight Cavaliers toAll-ACC honors and one ACC Champion, Brian Kollar in the Javelin.
