CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia women’s rowing team returns to action on Sunday (May 13) when the Cavaliers compete in the Eastern Sprints in Camden, N.J. Virginia will have crews competing in the first varsity eight, second varsity eight, first varsity four, second varsity four, first novice eight and second novice eight at the Eastern Sprints.

UVa won the first varsity four, finished second in the second varsity four, third in the second varsity eight and fourth in the first varsity eight at last year’s Eastern Sprints. Virginia also finished sixth in the second novice eight and eighth in the first novice eight.

The Cavaliers have not competed since winning their second consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference Championship on April 28 in Clemson, S.C. UVa finished first in three of the four races at the ACC Championships.
