CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Senior midfielder Laura Gaworecki was named ACC Player of the Week today, as a result of playing a pivotal role in the Cavaliers’ three victories last week. She had the lone goal in a 1-0 victory at George Mason, followed by a two-goal outing this past Saturday night in a 4-1 victory at James Madison.

For the season, Gaworecki has made all 12 starts, playing in a total of 732 minutes and is third on the team with ten points (4 G, 2 A). She was named to the All-Tournament team for the Virginia Soccer Classic on Sept. 9. For her career, she is one of three active players with 75 games played, and has 29 career points (7 G, 15 A).

Gaworecki is the first Cavalier player this season to earn ACC Player of the Week honors.
