DURHAM, N.C. – The University of Virginia men’s golf team finished third at the Duke Golf Classic at the Duke Golf Club in Durham, N.C. The Cavaliers shot a 30-over-par 894 in three rounds on the par 72, 7,045-yard course.

Virginia Tech captured the team title by carding a three-round score of 886 (+22). Augusta State University finished in second place, six shots back of Virginia Tech and two shots ahead of the third-place Cavaliers. The fourth place team, Minnesota, finished with a 39-over-par 903.

Georgia Southern’s Justin Kolumber won the individual title in a playoff. He finished with a one-over-par score of 217. Jeremy Luce was UVa’s top performer. His three-round total of 222 (+6) was good for a 10th-place tie.
