Virginia's Greenwood Named ACC Men's Swimmer Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. –
University of Virginia first-year swimmer Bo Greenwood (Manakin, Va./Goochland) has been selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week as announced Monday (February 4). Greenwood posted a pair of season-best times in helping lead the 12th-ranked Cavaliers to a 137-104 victory over 17th-ranked Pittsburgh February 3 at the UVa Aquatic and Fitness Center.
Greenwood won the 200 individual medley with a NCAA “B” qualifying time of 1:50.02, which is the second best time on the team and fourth best in the ACC this season. He also placed second in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:48.00, another second best time among UVa swimmers and fourth place time in the conference.
The 12th-ranked Virginia men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams return to action on Saturday, February 9 when they travel to College Park, Md. for a 1:00 p.m. against Maryland.
