RALEIGH, N.C. – Virginia’s Brandi Teamer (Joliet, Ill.) and Telisha Quarles (Louisa, Va.) were named to the 2002 Associated Press All-ACC second team, the Atlantic Coast Sports Writers Association announced on Tuesday.

Teamer was also named to the ACC All-Freshmen Team. Teammate LaTonya Blue (Baltimore, Md.) was an honorable mention selection.

Fourth-seeded Virginia (16-11) plays No. 5 seed Georgia Tech (15-12) on Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m. in the ACC Tournament quarterfinal round. Comcast SportsNet, Fox Sports Net South, and the Sunshine Network will televise the game live. The winner advances to Sunday’s 1 p.m. semifinal game. Fox Sports Net will carry both semifinals live nationally. The championship is slated for Monday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m. live on Fox Sports Net South. All games will be played at the Greensboro Coliseum.
