Men's Tennis Completes Play at UVa Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia men’s tennis team completed play at the first UVa Invitational Sunday at the Snyder Tennis Center. The three-day event featured players from 14 schools around the country.
In Flight B of doubles, the Cavalier duo of Kyle Hatten and Stephen Rozek fell in Sunday’s final to NC State’s Rehman Esmail and Will Shaw. Their second place finish in the flight was the best result by the Cavaliers at the tournament. Also in Flight B doubles, the team of Chris Gonyer and Dillon Walker won the consolation bracket of the flight on Sunday.
In singles play, Gonyer earned third place in Flight A for the best individual result for Virginia.
The Cavaliers will return to action at the Liberty Fall Invitational in October
