Cavaliers Take Third at ACC Cross Country Championships

The Virginia men’s cross country team finished third at the ACC Cross Country Championships for the second consecutive year, led in 2003 by All-ACC performer Will Christian, who finished third overall. The Cavaliers had five performers finish in the top 24, with a pack of four runners finishing within a span of 18 seconds. Virginia had 83 points, just behind Florida State’s 66 points. NC State won the men’s race with 27 points.
Jane Maxwell also earned All-Conference honors with her eighth-place finish as the Cavalier women took sixth overall with 142 points, seven points behind Florida State.
Virginia returns home to host the Cavalier Open on November 8 at Panorama Farms.
