CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia women’s soccer team announced its spring schedule that the team will play over the next month. The Cavaliers will play two ACC rivals and host two Mid-Atlantic region foes over the next month.

The 2004 spring schedule opens on March 27 as the Cavaliers travel to Richmond to compete in the showcase game of the Jefferson Cup Tournament against ACC rival and 2003 NCAA Champion North Carolina. On April 4, the Cavaliers travel to Germantown, Md. for the Kicks Against Breast Cancer Tournament. Less than a week later, Virginia will make another trip to the D.C. area with a April 10 game at Maryland. The Cavaliers two home games close out the spring schedule as they host Penn State on April 17 and VCU on April 22. The spring season closes with an Alumni Game on April 24.

“This spring is a great opportunity for us to establish roles for the fall,” stated head coach Steve Swanson. “We are excited to play this good, competitive schedule. I am looking forward to seeing some of our younger players get more playing time and see where we are as a team.”
