GREENSBORO, N.C. – The No. 5 seed Virginia women’s basketball team will face No. 4 seed Florida State the quarterfinal round of the 2005 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament, conference officials announced on Monday.

The Cavaliers (19-9) and Seminoles (23-6) tip off on Saturday, March 5 at 2 p.m. The Regional Sports Network (Comcast, Fox Sports Net South, Sunshine Network) will televise the game live.

The winner of the quarterfinal game advances to Sunday’s semifinal at 1 p.m. The championship is slated for Monday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. All games will be played at the Greensboro Coliseum.

For the second straight year, six of the 10 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament games are set to be televised. The opening round game on Friday, as well as the first two quarterfinal games on Saturday will be aired on the league’s regional sports networks (Comcast SportsNet, Fox Sports Net South and Sunshine Network). Sunday’s semifinals and Monday’s championship game will be televised nationally by Fox Sports Net. This is the fourth year that the tournament will have three nationally televised match-ups.

Saturday, March 5- Quarterfinal Round:Game 4: Seed #1 North Carolina vs. Game 1 winner (RSN), NoonGame 5: Seed #4 Florida State vs. Seed #5 Virginia (RSN), 2 p.m.Game 6: Seed #2 Duke vs. Game 2 winner, 6 p.m.Game 7: Seed #3 NC State vs. Game 3 winner, 8 p.m.

Sunday, March 6- Semifinals:Game 8: Winners of Games 4 vs. 5 (Fox Sports Net), 1 p.m.Game 9: Winners of Games 6 vs. 7 (Fox Sports Net), 3 p.m.

Monday, March 7- Final:Game 10: Winners of Games 8 vs. 9 (Fox Sports), 7:30 p.m.
