INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Times have been announced for the 2005 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.

The No. 6 seed Virginia Cavaliers (20-10) play No. 11 seed Old Dominion (22-8) in first round action on Saturday, March 19 at 6 p.m. Central time (7 p.m. Eastern) in Minneapolis, Minn. ESPN2 will televise the game live. Host and No. 3 seed Minnesota (24-7) takes on No. 14 St. Francis (21-9) in the second game at approximately 8:30 p.m. Central time on ESPN2.

The winners advance to the second round on Monday, March 21. Tipoff will be either 6 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. Central time. Exact tipoff times will be announced following the completion of first round action.

The Virginia Athletics Ticket Office will take applications for tickets on Monday, March 14, beginning at 9 a.m. Applications will be accepted by telephone at 1-800-542-UVA1 (542-8821) and 434-924-UVA1; or in-person at the Athletics Ticket Office located in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium. Priority will go to Virginia Athletics Foundation members and season ticket holders.

Tickets, sold only as first and second round packages, are $45 for chairback seating, $35 for bench seating, and $25 for UVa students (includes senior citizens aged 62+, grade school, high school and college students). The package includes six games (four first round games and two second round games).

The winner of the second round game advances to the Tempe Regional, to be held March 26 & 28 at the Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Ariz.
