Today’s Game: The Cavaliers play their first ranked opponent of the season Sunday as they host No. 15 West Virginia. Virginia downed Rhode Island 6-0 in its season opener Friday night at Klöckner Stadium, while the Mountaineers defeated Dayton 3-1 at home on Friday.

The Series: This is the sixth all-time meeting between the schools, with the Cavaliers holding a 4-1 edge in the series. Virginia has won each of the last three meetings by a 1-0 score, including last season’s meeting in Morgantown.

Impressive Start: First-year forward Jess Rostedt had a goal and an assist in her first collegiate game vs. Rhode Island. Her three-point performance was the most by a Cavalier in her first collegiate game since Kim Smith (1 goal, 1 assist vs. Radford) in 1991.
