CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The 13th-ranked University of Virginia men’s swimming and diving team will host 10th-ranked Tennessee and Princeton Saturday (Jan. 14) at 11:00 a.m. at the UVa Aquatic and Fitness Center. Tennessee is the third top 10 team in the nation to swim against the Cavaliers at the Aquatic and Fitness Center this season. Admission to the meet is free of charge.

The Cavaliers enter the meet with a 4-2 dual meet record. UVa’s two dual meet losses this season are to Auburn, the top team in the country, and Florida, currently ranked seventh.

Virginia has not participated in a dual meet since hosting Auburn, Penn State and Purdue on Nov. 11-12. UVa’s two opponents in Saturday’s meet are undefeated this season. Tennessee stands at 4-0 on the season, while Princeton is 3-0.

Virginia swam against Tennessee in December at the UGA Fall Invitational in Athens, Ga., with the Vols taking the top spot in the three-day meet with 1,025.5 points. UVa was third in the meet with 602 points. Tennessee leads the all-time dual meet series with Virginia 5-3. The two schools have met in each of the past seven seasons with the Cavaliers winning the last two matchups, including a 135-103 victory last season in Knoxville. Virginia has never swum against Princeton in a dual meet.
