CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia women’s soccer program has announced the dates of their 2006 camps. The Virginia Soccer Centers of Excellence will conduct four camps during the spring and summer highlighted by the Advanced Center of Excellence (grades 8-12) on the grounds of the University of Virgnia.

“We take a great deal of pride in each Soccer Center of Excellence,” said Virginia women’s soccer head coach Steve Swanson. “We feel between all of our offerings there is something for every aspiring soccer player, whether they are just getting into the sport, have played for a number of seasons or are looking to play at the collegiate level. The Advanced Center, in particular is a great opportunity for players from all over the country, to not only experience all that our staff and program has to offer, but also find out what the University of Virginia has to offer academically, athletically and as a community.”

The advanced camp will be held June 28-July 2 on the grounds of the University of Virginia for girls in grades 8 to 12. From June 16-18, there will be a team camp at Graves Mountain for girls U11, U12, and U13 teams (teams of 12 or more). There will also be a youth camp at Graves Mountain for girls age 9 to 13 held June 19 to 22. This spring, there will be a spring break camp April 3 to 7 for boys and girls in grades 1 to 6.
